Rocksolid Stone Works Helped the Artisan Group Raise $32,000 During 2011 “Counters For a Cause” National Granite Sale

Consumers purchased discounted granite, marble and other stone for countertops with proceeds benefiting injured soldiers.

Artisan Group countertop fabricators across America hosted a National Yard Sale, selling granite and other stone remnants, raised $32,000 to help Homes for Our Troops to build specially-adapted homes for veterans.

Artisan Group Executive Director Chad Seiders recently presented the check to Marine Corporal Neil Frustaglio, a Homes For Our Troops spokesperson and Marine who recently received a home from the organization.

“These veterans have given their blood, sweat, tears and in some cases part of themselves to defend our rights and freedoms in this country,” says Thomas Rocks, owner of Rocksolid Stone Works. “It is a privilege to give something back to them. We were very proud to contribute a portion of our yard sale proceeds to Homes for Our Troops so that these veterans can have a home that provides them more independence.”

“Homes for Our Troops appreciates the fundraising efforts of the Artisan Group,” says John Gonsalves, President and Founder of Homes For Our Troops. “Because of the support from patriotic companies across the nation, we are able to restore freedom and independence back to our severely injured veterans through the gift of a specially adapted home.”
